Is there any way that we could upload personal avatars to be posted along with our forum posts? The Base Gallery & such does not leave much to the imagination. I thought it may look a little more "personable" if each member could upload their own avatar. No one sees the "personal photo" in initially put in my profile!!

Yes, I would like to have a more personalised avatar too if possible! I settled on the leaf thingy because most of the others that I liked were already being used, but it is a bit boring!

The "Personal photos" are for photos of yourself only please

You are able to use different avatars. You just need to have them uploaded in on a website or somewhere like photobucket and put the URL. The upload feature is disabled to keep bandwidth down.

I have been meaning to say thanks for replying to this query.

Unfortunately it doesn't help me much as I don't know how to use photobucket (d'oh! ). However, both my brothers work in IT so when I get a chance I will ask them.

I did find a nice avatar on a internet site, but can't figure out how to transfer it. Hopefully one of my brothers might be able to help... or if anyone else can, I would be most grateful!

I just had a HUGE response with a step-by-step guide and pictures and I lost it all when I previewed it. I'll try again in a few minutes and save my progress in Word this time.

Haven't got the time to read through it all/follow the instructions right now, but I am very impressed!!!! Looks easy enough to follow ... even for someone like me! I will get back to it later .... am off to watch "ER" on cable TV at the moment.
